“Unless you know the road you’ve come down, you cannot know where you are going.”

As The Art Institute of Pittsburgh celebrates the talented, dedicated professionals that have shaped its past, the college finds itself at the dawn of a new era of academic maturity.
Building upon a long history of creative excellence, the school cultivated an academic transition and achieved collegiate status and the accreditation of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Over the past decade, the college redefined its role in the Pittsburgh community by relocating to the Boulevard of the Allies, the renovation of three student housing facilities and the successful development of 15 bachelor of science degree programs.
Under the leadership of President George L. Pry, the vision continues to unfold as the college prepares for a future that remains true to its mission of preparing students for creative careers forged so long ago with an eye towards fulfilling the needs of tomorrow’s student and employer.
